Official playoff structure
The contest is generated from the official WNBA playoff field and series format for that season. The product does not rely on a permanently hard-coded bracket shape.
Entry
Entrants predict series winners through the championship. Picks lock according to the published playoff stage. Once a locked series begins, that series selection cannot be changed.
Default scoring
Recommended progressive scoring: opening round 1 point per correct series winner, semifinals 2 points, and championship 4 points for the correct champion.
Series-length bonus
The Commissioner may enable a supported +1 bonus for correctly predicting the exact number of games in a series.
Bracket advancement
Supported contest settings may allow independent-round scoring or strict bracket-path scoring. The selected method is published before the contest begins.
Championship tiebreak
Recommended order: correct WNBA champion, correct Finals series length, published numeric Finals tiebreak, then Commissioner decision if still tied.
Format changes
If the WNBA changes playoff seeding, round count or series length, the contest uses that season's official format rather than legacy assumptions.
