Ownership
Dynasty ownership follows the driver, not the car. A team keeps its driver through team, manufacturer or car-number changes unless the owner trades or drops that driver.
Startup draft
There is one startup draft only. Six-team leagues draft five rounds, eight-team leagues four rounds, and ten-team leagues three rounds. Commissioners may choose Snake, Linear or Auction.
No annual rookie draft
Rookies, newly promoted drivers, returning eligible drivers and other unrostered drivers enter the waiver/free-agent pool. The Commissioner selects when the new-season waiver window opens.
First offseason waiver
The first new-season waiver opportunity uses previous-season finish: the worst-finishing team receives first priority, then priority proceeds toward the best-finishing team. Standard configured waiver/free-agency rules apply after that initial run.
FAAB, trades and IR
The Commissioner chooses supported free-agency settings and any FAAB budget. Trades are allowed. There is no future draft-pick trading because there are no annual rookie drafts. IR preserves ownership of the driver.
Inactive drivers
Retired, inactive, part-time, or ride-less drivers remain owned until the Dynasty owner drops or trades them. Ownership does not transfer automatically to a replacement driver.
Championship
The Commissioner chooses NASCAR-style playoffs or full-season points-only standings, along with supported playoff field and tiebreaker settings.
