Eligibility
MLB Keeper is available with a paid Commissioner entitlement for MLB.
Keeper count
The standard setting is 3 keepers per team. Commissioners may choose another supported keeper limit.
Annual reset
Before each new season, managers designate their keepers by the published league deadline. Every non-kept player returns to the annual draft pool.
Draft treatment
By default, keepers occupy designated keeper rounds before the remaining draft begins. Where supported, the Commissioner may instead use custom keeper rounds or original-draft-round cost.
Scoring and roster rules
Keeper leagues use the same MLB points-scoring, roster, lineup, waiver, trade and pitching rules as MLB redraft unless the Commissioner changes a supported setting.
Prospects
Prospect or minor-league slots are not required for Keeper. If the platform supports them for a Commissioner league, they are an optional league setting rather than a defining Keeper rule.
Difference from Dynasty
Keeper retains only a limited number of players. Dynasty is designed for long-term ownership of most or all of the roster and a deeper prospect/rookie system.
